Then I did the regular stuff, kids all around the globe do: went to kindergarten, had piano lessons, went to school, got my German high school diploma (Abitur), studied business information technology at the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim/Germany and so on and so forth.

Now that I have graduated and got my diploma about a year and a half ago I am on the job as an SAP Consultant/Developer concentrating on development of ABAP and Java enterprise application systems with my company SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner AG.

I got addicted with the web in 1997, when my brother and I started the infamous WittRaider Homepage. A fan site dedicated to temperature. It was very active for about 3 years before - because of an insulting board entry by some person - it was shutdown and deleted overnight by our system administrator. We even did some interactive 3D-Adventures based on Flatland Technology for a contest at Eidos at that time. But once real life hit me I started concentrating on more serious subjects, starting Java and my favorite language PHP.

I had some clients on the side, who I did web sites and online shops for like a local winery (Weingut Wehrhof) or an agricultural organization (KUW Rheinhessen). But actually I was more into developing generic type of applications like programming frameworks in PHP and JavaScript to aid my daily work. Over time I have designed my own infrastructure, which I could bring to clients even on my regular job to aid things, which are not easily solved by platforms such as J2EE and SAP Netweaver. In my Enterprise Application Blog I will feature some outstanding technological approaches that are contained in those frameworks over time.

As someone who has grown up in the field web design, it's always hard to remain happy with your current web presence. This is primarily why this one has been offline for so long. But now that I have found blogger.com, I finally have found the motivation to make this thing real. I have been reading blogs for years and finally have one of my own now. I am not saying that this site is great but finally I have found a design I think I may want to stick with for awhile. I guess that's about it!

Have fun and don't hesitate to comment!

Dominik
